1. Who can use Clara
Clara only serves phone numbers that ASL-I has authorized. Messages from any other number are ignored: we do not reply to them, do not download their media and do not store their content. Only a technical receipt is kept (see section 5).
2. What we process
- Your phone number, to check whether it is authorized and to reply to you.
- Message metadata provided by WhatsApp: message identifier, timestamp and message type.
- Voice messages and audio files you send. The audio is downloaded from WhatsApp, transcribed and then discarded. Clara does not keep the audio.
- The transcription. It is sent back to you in the same WhatsApp conversation. Clara does not keep the text after sending it.
- Usage records, without any content: audio duration and size, detected language, a transcription confidence level, number of characters and of reply messages, processing time and error codes.
Other messages you send (text, images, videos, documents) receive a short usage hint. Their content is not stored.
3. Why we process it
Only to provide the transcription you asked for, to keep the service reliable (avoiding duplicate processing and diagnosing failures) and to measure usage and cost. We do not use your data for advertising, we do not sell it and we do not use it to train artificial intelligence models.
4. Who else handles the data
- Meta Platforms (WhatsApp Business Platform) delivers the messages between you and Clara. WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy apply to that delivery.
- Cloudflare hosts Clara, stores the usage records and runs the speech-to-text model (Workers AI).
We do not share your data with anyone else, except when required by law.
5. How long we keep it
- Audio and transcriptions: not kept by Clara.
- Usage records: deleted after 90 days.
- Technical receipts (a one-way hash of each message identifier, without content), used to avoid processing the same message twice: kept while the service runs.
- Your authorization (name and phone number): kept until you or ASL-I remove it.
Meta keeps WhatsApp messages according to its own policies.
6. Your rights
You can ask what data we hold about you, ask for its correction or deletion, or ask to stop using Clara, under applicable law, including Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD). See the data deletion instructions or write to contato@asli.international.
7. Security
All traffic uses HTTPS. Every message from WhatsApp is verified with Meta's signature before it is processed, and access to the stored records is restricted to the ASL-I team.
8. Changes
We will update this page when the service changes. The date below shows the latest version.
